Thomas Wertzberger AIA, NCARB

Tom is the Owner, and the President, of Wertzberger Architects. Tom started his firm in 1991.

Prior to starting the firm of Wertzberger Architects, PC, Tom was responsible for all the architectural projects of the Iowa offices of George Butler Associates, a large Architectural and Engineering firm headquartered in Kansas City, MO.

Before Tom joined George Butler Associates, he was responsible for architecture and planning for in-park facilities at Six Flags Over Mid-America in Eureka, Missouri. These facilities included restaurants and food service operations, retail shops, public facilities, and operations and maintenance facilities. While with Six Flags, Tom served as project manager responsible for coordinating the design and construction of a $35 million renovation of the art deco-styled S.S. Admiral, a St. Louis riverfront landmark.

Tom Wertzberger earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa and is a registered architect in the States of Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Missouri. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Iowa Chapter of AIA. Also, he is a member of the Iowa Professional Licensing Board for Architects. He has also served 15 years on the Marshall County Board of Review
